What is School CTF?

School CTF is a computer security competition for school pupils hosted by the SiBears team annually since 2010.

Is School CTF just for school students only?

Any team is welcome, not just that comprised of school students. The ratings are calculated separately for school teams and for non-school teams. A school team is a team which consists of people not older than 17 y.o. (17 and younger is ok) who are not studying at a university. In case a school team takes 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, the team should be ready to approve its belonging to school by providing official documents from the school for each member. Other teams will be considered as non school.

What do I need to participate?

A team of one to seven persons, internet access and eight hours of spare time.

When does School CTF 2017 take place?

School CTF 2017 takes place at November 5th, 2017. It starts at 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (UTC +3), and ends at 5:00 p.m. (UTC +3). You can add an event to your Google Calendar so you do not forget.

Now TSU is one of the biggest scientific facilities with three research institutes, Siberian Botanic garden, TSU library and more than 100 different laboratories.

A community of computer security, IT and maths enthusiasts with everyday life including lectures for freshman and senior students, practical trainings and taking part in CTFs. Also since 2010 SiBears has been hosting a computer security competition “School CTF”, which is of the oldest of its kind in Russia.
